Case study

A multi-season partnership built on preserving romantic brand identity

Beulah London needed imagery that felt elegant, romantic and emotionally resonant, without ever drifting into over-styling that would undercut the clarity a product page needs. We've worked with them across multiple seasons, delivering consistent ecommerce photography and, more recently, the creative banner imagery that carries the brand's storytelling online.

What they came in needing

Beulah London is a British luxury womenswear brand built on timeless, feminine silhouettes and refined occasion dressing, founded with the aim of empowering vulnerable women through the business of fashion. With collections worn by high-profile figures and a customer base seeking both beauty and purpose, the imagery had to carry the same balance: craft, confidence and emotional resonance, on top of a clean product shot.

What made it difficult

Preserving emotional elegance at ecommerce scale is a narrower target than it sounds. The lighting and styling had to protect Beulah's signature softness, season after season, while still answering the practical questions a shopper has about cut, fabric and fit. This was never a single shoot: it needed to be approached as a long-term collaboration from the start.

What we shot

On-model imagery capturing movement, silhouette and wearability, alongside clean product shots built for online shopping clarity. Shot lists were structured around PDPs and campaign imagery together, with outfits sequenced across multiple looks for efficiency, and lighting tests run up front to lock accurate colour and fabric texture before each season's main sets began.

How the day ran

Close collaboration with the Beulah team up front established seasonal direction and collection mood before a single frame was shot. Creative direction on set kept frames consistent within and across seasons, and a calm, organised set let the Beulah team review imagery live rather than waiting on a delivery to catch anything that needed revisiting.

What was delivered

Retouching that enhances without losing the natural softness that defines the brand, consistent cropping and formatting across collections, and web-ready files that drop straight into the site. More recently, that's extended into creative banner imagery built to carry seasonal mood and storytelling beyond the product grid.

What changed afterwards

Beulah gained faster turnaround on new collections and confidence in ongoing visual consistency, because the studio relationship carries forward from season to season rather than resetting each time. The partnership now supports both storytelling and conversion from the same image library, which is what let it extend naturally from product photography into banner imagery.
